Loss Prevention

Applications

Tamper evident tapes and labels are typically used as an effective visual security aid and have value in loss prevention.

Tamper evident labels can be applied across the closure of a carton, or a permanent pallet security label, designed to protect the banding or strapping of the pallet whether poly or metal strapping to prevent manipulation of the strapping and removal or pilferage of the inner cartons on the pallet. One label can protect four cartons intersecting on the side of the pallet as well as the top of the pallet.

Tamper evident labels and tapes can be applied anytime in the transit stream; at the staging areas, repacking at fulfilment centres, reverse logistics and out to retail stores.

Benefits

Loss prevention is a major concern for all retailers and distributors. Reducing shrinkage, illegal product resales and fraud are of vital importance to businesses.

Tamper evident labels and tapes are often recognised for their ability to ‘pay for themselves’ when compared to the amount of added protection they provide against loss prevention in end to end chain security.

Tamper evident labels are the most affordable and effective means to put off would-be criminals and anyone who would try to gain from tampering with a product or removing it from within the supply chain and reselling it as their own.

FLEXIBLE –  can be used on cardboard, painted surfaces, metals, plastics, polyethyhlene bags, crates, glass and even wood.

INSTANT – the self adhesive tapes and labels, once applied, instantly provide a new level of security.  Once removed, they will leave a permanent visible mark on the surface they were applied to. Or, if required, a non permanent, peelable adhesive option is available where no residue is left on the surface.

INDIVIDUAL – sequential numbers, barcodes, QR codes, logos, languages, colours for an overt or covert design.

EASY TO APPLY – manually or machine applied.

Other options you can consider for added performance:

irreversible thermo chromic inks, photo chromic inks, glow in the dark inks, DNA inks, bar coding, QR codes, sequential numbering (both sub surface and surface), high temperature or low temperature adhesives, holograms, metallic foils, security die cuts, customer specific text in the voiding and surface messages…
